In Memoriam

Jessica Roberts

Jessi Pic

West Valley Girls Softball is deeply saddened by the passing of Jessica
Roberts. Jessica began her softball career in T-ball with the Pink Tornados
and the Summer 2009 was the anchor at first base for West Valley's 14U Heat
"B" District Finalists. She, and her parents, are truly part of our family.

Jessie died in an auto accident October 2009. Her Father, Doug, suffered life threatening injures. After months of hospitalization, Doug is recovering at home.

Doug has been a long-time coach at WVGS and has mentored many, many of our girls.

Jessie played on many Spring, Fall and Heat teams in her years at WVGS.
She was always a stellar player and driven to compete at the highest levels.
She embraced that to the point of playing on 16U travel teams as a
13-year-old. At the same time, she missed the countless friends she made at
WVGS and last season came back to play at the place in which she grew up.

Jessie was a phenomenal First Baseman--she was iconic. She will be missed by everyone who has known her.
